Shooshh

214 Kings Rd, Brighton BN1 1NB, UK – 01273 202807

Was unwell whilst here and Adam looked after me, contacted my family and stayed with me until they arrived. Felt safe and really appreciated the care instead of just getting chucked out!

Been to all the clubs in Brighton and I have had the best nights out here! They always have acts performing live! The djs are amazing! Guaranteed to have a good night out here! Staff are helpful! Defiantly recommend going VIP, it was my best night by far! Drinks are cheap! Best to get tickets on events as they sell out quick!

Club Revenge

32-34 Old Steine, Brighton BN1 1EL, UK – 01273 606064

A brilliant club most of the time although it is a young crowd of mainly university students. Music is usually very pop - even the ‘house room’ is basically just remixed pop. Only gripes are that the place increasingly feels less like a gay club since lots of straight uni students also seem to go. Also there is limited disabled access as far as i can tell since the club is up a flight of stairs and the toilets are up another flight

Turned up on the door for a couple of drinks with a few friends on a stag do. Looked a little rough outside looking in and Bouncer said ‘this is a gay club - are you sure?’. Went in anyway and had a great time. Only stayed for a few but it was a really nice crowd and drinks were reasonable. No problems at all. Would defo go again if i was in the area.

Casablanca Jazz Club

3 Middle St, Brighton BN1 1AL, UK – 01273 321817

Crazy, late night, atmospheric, basement bar and club! Music is often amazing, and the visitors get right in to it - always some good dancing going on. Ronnie Scott's this is not - it's very low.key, stripped back and raw, and if you wander in by chance you never really know what kind of music or crowd will be there. Drinks are fine but that's not why you'd go, it's all about the music. If you're in Brighton, it's late and you fancy something a bit different you could do a lot worse

Fantastic night out with a live band. Drinks are decent price, and incredibly quickly prepared. The decor is great, if cars parked indoors are your kind of thing then this is the place for you.

Golf Clubs

Waterhall Golf Course

Saddlescombe Rd, Brighton BN45 7DB, UK – 01273 508658

At £14 a round I found this good value. It's a council run course that's not overly attended to so don't expect plush greens. It's also very hilly but the views are wonderful and I found that the terrain was very good for those sloping shots that a high handicapper like myself needs practice on. Some greens were well protected by bunkers and had slopes to contend with. Buggies are not provided so if you are not into hillwalking this won't be the course for you.

Good course. Would visit again.

Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf - Brighton

286 Madeira Dr, Brighton BN2 1PS, UK – 01273 694718

Very popular mini golf. Choose between two courses. Great for kids (of all ages) Best mini golf in Brighton

A great mini gold course with a choice of 2 different 18 hole courses with one final challenge at the end. A range of difficulties and obstacles including pipes, bunkers and the dreaded water pit! I guess we spent over an hour on the course so plenty of fun to be had.

Hollingbury Park Golf Course

Ditchling Rd, Brighton BN1 7HS, UK – 01273 500086

Great course - challenging and hilly but fairways and greens always been in good/great condition. Some stunning views over looking Brighton & Hove. You come across the odd dog walker but never see any dog mess on any part of the course let alone on the greens! Staff in club house/shop are very friendly and helpful.

Amazing quality and friendly golf course. Just stopped by for an afternoon tea while walking my dog. Thoroughly recommend it! 😀

Local Sports Clubs

Yellowave Beach Sports Venue

299 Madeira Dr, Brighton BN2 1EN, UK – 01273 672222

Great place to play volleyball. Convenient that there is a cafe there too. Coffee is okay. Food is basic and very limited vegan friendly options. Though they do good smoothies which are very refreshing after a match. I thought they were changing to biodegradable veg ware but when I went a couple of weeks back they still seemed to be serving drinks in plastic cups.. maybe just using up what they had. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. The founding staff are very friendly but there are a lot of new younger staff members (particularly in the cafe) who tend to just do what is required but not engage quite like Spencer, Ellie and Damo do. I guess it’s a growing business and more staff are needed but they don’t always know/remember the regulars. Still, a good place to go. Good function room. Nice to be on the beach. A safe play area/sandpit for kids. Parking is difficult, particularly on a sunny weekend. But I like the space.

Lovely place and we always come once a year but just lately the prices are getting beyond a joke. £2.50 for 330ml coke is to much. When I said 'blimey, That's dear' they practically laughed and said ''yep!'
